Anyone aged 3 mos-18 years can visit the Breathmobile with a parent or guardian by appointment. You may have allergies, frequent colds, or known asthma.

There is no charge for the visit.  We do not bill MediCal and we will see people without insurance.

We offer Spanish interpreting on the van at all times.  We can offer interpreting in Chinese, Vietnamese, Korean, and Tagalog sometimes in person, and sometimes in a face-to-face phone call.

Call us at 510-763-1880 Monday-Friday except holidays, 9-5pm.

Yes, a parent or guardian must accompany the child.

Children do best if they come for three visits in a row.  They are about 4-6 weeks apart.

The first appointment lasts about an hour, while follow-up visits are about 30 minutes.  We gather your information and the child’s health history. We check vital signs and do full pulmonary function testing.  You are examined by a Nurse Practitioner or Doctor and given an Asthma Action Plan to follow. Medications and management are discussed and prescriptions given as needed.

If you have insurance, we will write a prescription for you.  If uninsured, we can offer help with medications. We never bill MediCal or anyone else.  We are fully grant funded and there is never a charge for our services.

Yes, any child can be seen for assessment, ages 3 months to 18 years.
